    The customer needed to optically orient the varnish cans in order to print in a window placed in a predetermined position on the container

  • Solution:

    An orientation system by means of spotting cameras and later ink-jet printing with relevant control of the printed character.

  • Outcome:

    11 Orientators have been delivered in 2012. The machines are equipped with five spotting camera systems plus one printing control camera and servomotors with integrated drive, able to orient the containers at 8.000 p/h speed.

    A labeller able to handle many different bottle sizes, with different labels, aluminum foil over the cap and containers orientation.

  • Solution:

    P.E. designed a modular labelling machine with 3 workspaces suitable for cold glue, self-adhesive or combined applications, plus a labelling station to apply and smooth the aluminum foil; the machine is also equipped with optical fibers spotting system for orientation on the glass welding.

  • Outcome:

    Delivered at the beginning of 2012 the first modular labelling machine in Belgium; achieved all required speeds for all bottle sizes with 98% labelling efficiency.

    The application of a wraparound label that is long and tall, with cold glue, onto a conical surface. The label, that is to be applied immediately below the cap, is not a standard paper label; it is a label that is thick and painted, therefore, difficult to manage during the labelling stages at a rather high speed. Application tolerance requested by the client for the overlap, lower than a millimetre.

  • Solution:

    P.E. LABELLERS proposed the research of the shape and size of the label in order to better adapt to the conical surface of the container and built a special labelling machine to solve the problem and guarantee the same level of high quality performances.

  • Outcome:

    The first cold glue labelling machine was installed in 2012. The careful attention to detail and the possibility of performing internal acceptance tests have assured and satisfied the customer who, in just a few months time, ordered from P.E. LABELLERS the supply of a second labelling machine, identical to the first one, but featuring an even greater speed.

    Apply different kind of wrap-around label with cold glue on cylindrical sprays to minimize line downtimes.

  • Solution:

    P.E. studied and designed the non-stop system for long cold glue label application.

  • Outcome:

    Installed in 2010 a labeller with two cold glue stations for the same application; the two units runs alternatively with automatic shift from one station to the other, in order to allow total safe reel changeover operation without machine stop.

    The customer needed to label different sizes of unsteady containers, for its suntan products line.

  • Solution:

    A self-adhesive labeller with containers conveying system in “pucks” has been designed; P.E. also made the “puck” design for each different container shape and size.

  • Outcome:

    A labeller with stepper-motors has been delivered in 2010; the machine is able to label different kind of unsteady containers at 9.000 bph production speed.

    Elimination of the hot melt for the application of standard roll-fed labels on PET bottles.

  • Solution:

    A labelling unit has been designed to apply linerless pre-glued roll-fed labels.

  • Outcome:

    The machine started running in April 2009.This revolutionary machine has eliminated all the cleaning operations from residual glue as well as the maintenance operations typical of the standard roll-fed machines.

    A centering device for a standard oil bottle with gripping sides and no reference notch.

  • Solution:

    A fibre-optic centering system was designed to detect the glass welding.

  • Outcome:

    The 22.000 bph production speed agreed as per contract has been reached with a 98% efficiency. They have ordered a second labelling machine.

    A labelling machine able to handle two bottling lines featuring cold glue, self-adhesive and mixed-type packaging, offering reduced changeover times.

  • Solution:

    Modular labeller equipped with interchangeable labelling stations, automatic timing, quick change container and cold glue label equipments, and menu screen on the operating panel

  • Outcome:

    The machine, delivered at the end of 2007, has achieved all the set goals allowing the utmost working flexibility and a positive increase in production. So far, no after-sale assistance has been necessary.
